Alison Shearer is a saxophonist with tremendous style, lyricism, and intuition whose talents have brought her around the world. Alison has performed at The Blue Note NYC, Lincoln Center, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola, Merkin Concert Hall, The Kennedy Center, Joe's Pub, Brooklyn Bowl, National Sawdust and Rockwood Music Hall, among many other venues.

College at Manhattan School of Music introduced Alison to many of the musicians she works with today.  One of the notable groups to emerge from MSM during Alison's time was PitchBlak Brass Band, a ten piece hip-hop brass band that received critical acclaim from DownBeat Magazine, Live for Live Music, Brooklyn Vegan and The Source Magazine. Alison was a founding member of PitchBlak and toured extensively with the group from 2010 - 2016.

Alison's new project, Prismatic formed in 2015, united by a love of genre bending, melodic music. Over the past two years the band's repertoire has grown to include HeadHunters classics, MJ covers and a fat stack of original tunes. Prismatic has toured the East Coast, appearing at venues like Asheville Music Hall, Dante's, and hometown venues Joe's Pub, Come On Everybody, and Rockwood Music Hall.
